Blackpool have prevented a degree deduction

That is usually seen as having gained an unfair benefit by shedding money owed different better-run golf equipment have met.

The appointment of receivers by a judge – on this case to power by means of the League One membership’s sale to settle former proprietor Owen Oyston’s £25million debt to former enterprise associate Valeri Belokon – may have been seen on this gentle.

However the EFL board has determined it is a particular case, unrelated to the membership’s precise monetary place, and the factors penalty was subsequently ‘not relevant’.

In a statement, the EFL said: “Based on the evidence presented and the judgement of the court, the board agreed that the appointment of the receiver is not material to the club’s ability to fulfil its obligations as a member club and as a result should not be regarded as having suffered an insolvency event.”

The development was quickly welcomed by the Bloomfield Road club, with joint receiver Paul Cooper describing it as ‘excellent news’.
