However the 25-year-old, who escaped punishment from referee Paul Tierney throughout the recreation, has now been banned retrospectively by the FA.
“While he denied the cost, which adopted an incident not seen by the match officers however caught on video within the 27th minute of the Emirates FA Cup fixture towards West Brom on 6 February 2019, it was subsequently discovered confirmed by an Impartial Regulatory Fee,” learn a press release from an FA spokesperson.
Andone, who scored the equaliser in the Seagulls’ 3-1 extra-time victory against the Baggies, will now be unavailable for Saturday’s Premier League match with Burnley at the Amex Stadium.
He will also miss Albion’s FA Cup fifth-round tie with Derby on February 16 and the league journey to Leicester 10 days later.
