Manchester United academy product Kieran Richardson has paid tribute to the membership’s legendary coach Eric Harrison, who has sadly died on the age of 81.
Harrison, the person credited with growing United’s well-known Class of 92 stars, passed away in his sleep overnight on Wednesday after a battle with dementia.
He spent 27 years as youth group supervisor on the Outdated Trafford membership, nurturing a bunch of younger gamers who would go on to turn into United legends – together with David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Gary Neville.
These Class of 92 stars, along with Sir Alex Ferguson, all paid tribute to their former mentor on Thursday, with Neville describing Harrison as ‘the person who made us’.
And Richardson added his personal touching tribute to the coach, telling talkSPORT he was a legendary determine at Manchester United when he joined the membership in 2002 on the age of 18.
“I knew Eric Harrison very effectively and Gary Neville was spot on, he was such a pleasant man and a really agency and robust coach,” mentioned the ex-England winger, who received the FA Youth Cup with the Purple Devils.
