Liverpool have urged anybody with details about an alleged racially motivated assault on Shamal George to come back ahead.
Merseyside police are investigating the assault on the membership’s youth goalkeeper, who sustained facial accidents.
The 21-year-old’s brother, Lioyed, can be understood to have been injured within the incident, which occurred in a metropolis centre bar at round 1am on Saturday morning.
Police are analysing CCTV footage of the assault on George, who spent the primary half of the season on mortgage at Tranmere.

“Liverpool Soccer Membership is shocked and appalled that Shamal and a member of the family have been subjected to such a horrible ordeal,” an announcement from the Premier League membership stated.
“As a membership, we’ll provide Shamal and his household any help that they require.
“The matter is now within the palms of Merseyside Police and we’ll defer all enquiries to them.
“We’d additionally urge anybody with details about the incident to come back ahead.
“Liverpool Soccer Membership will make no additional remark till it’s acceptable to take action and, within the meantime, we’d ask that Shamal and his household have their privateness revered.”
